What does this do and why is there no description of it, besides a link, on the web page?

It generates a set of html files with random, fictitious e-mail addresses on them to be uploaded to a server. The web pages then attract spammers' robots which troll the internet harvesting fresh e-mail addresses to spam.

While it IS useful , there are better versions of the same concept out there.
Like the one here: http://hackles.org/spam/
I use the PHP script version available at that site on several servers because it generates new and different e-mail addresses each time it loads, rather than a set of stagnant ones like the SpamDuh! does.

Yeah, but a pitty you can't catch those harvesting bots in a never ending loop. Would be interesting to analyze those harvesters and find their weak points (Defense Method 5 - Harvester Black Holes).

Actually, it is possible to get some of the harvesting programs into an 'endless' loop. However, it depends on the harvesting software used, and
most spammers nowadays are smart enough to bypass that. (I.e., they
only have to get it once, to realize they need to 'tweak' their software).

The SpamDuh extension is designed to make sure that *most* harvesters
pick up e-mails, and the way it has been designed, that is precisely what
will happen.

Hello,

You can also add a "Fight Spam" button on your site and the spam bots whill get sucked into an infinity loop. You can find it here: http://www.seo-toolkit.com/anti-spam.php

Actually,

Just so you know -- nowadays it is unlikely that spambots will get
caught in an infinity loop. It is nice to think they might, but the big
time spammers use their own custom software (as opposed to off
the shelf grab e-mail addresses software), and it is simply a matter
of changing 2-3 lines to 'detect' if they've gotten in a loop, and getting
out of it. Even off the shelf software that is 5 years old allows you to
specify how 'deep' you should go into a website (in terms of nesting).

So we specifically wrote this software to prevent that type of detection.
Ours is actually more effective.

Allright I have the best solution for that. Create a botkiller. Just like a antivirus. Or get the antivirus companies to work on an anti-bot. right?
