It would appear that my Thunderbird address book was stolen about a week ago. Since then most of the people in it have been repeatedly spammed using my spoofed email address in the headers. At least some of the emails originate in The Czech Republic and not using my email supplier's mail servers (1and1).
Is there any defence against this now that the horse has flown?
Any ideas how they could have compromised my address book, there are no legitimate copies outside my PC?
I'm running Norton both on my PC and at 1and1.
Scans with other anti-spyware programs show little of interest.
