So, I've been using spamitback (free version) since yesterday and I love the idea here. I was a member of Blue Frog when they got hit with the DOS and yes, I got flooded with spam as a result.

My primary concern with spamitback is this. Don't email message embed the source ip address of the sender in the message header? Sure, we're bein protected by virtue of the imbedded smtp server in the program but what's to stop the admin on the other end from identifying the sender's ip address and then reporting me to my isp for flooding his server with spam?

My secondary concern is lack of activity on the forum which implies that this project may in its death throws due to lack of interest. Without interest this method to combat spam is dead. If I saw some recent interest here I might be inclined to buy the product.

Thoughts?

NOTHING. And they WILL ban you from their server. You may even loose your ISP.

So far, nobody has has been able to determine if the emails are actually sent. I tried sending emails to myself and never received a single one.
No wonder this place is empty.
