A New version of SpamItBack is up (1.048). Features several bug fixes due to new/recent additions:

* Set default sleep time to 10ms (since some people aren't familiar with it as a way to make it less cpu intensive, so set it to a good default)
* Because of a number of previous feature enhancements, turns out there were a few bugs, which have now been fixed.
* Fixed Bug - Removed automatic reloading the software once exited (and potential memory leak)
* Fixed Bug - Fixed Screensaver bug
* Fixed Bug - Lookup Spammer Functionality
* Fixed Bug - Spammer List Refresh

Hi SpamItBack,
since this version is not working, why don't you realease an older (working) version. If that's not what you want, then please tell me, when there's a working version (custom list failure fixed).
If we're talking of 1-2 weeks, that's fine, but if longer than please re-release an old working version ...
My custom spammers are asking for a feedback and I don't want to disappoint them !!! Really !!!

I entirely agree with oli32de.

In any case you ought to stop selling a demo version pretending it is a full version. Strictly speaking it is cheating on your customers.... Yes, everybody who buys your application becomes your customer and should be treated like one.

Daily jobs, lack of time etc. is not an excuse !

Two days ago I have sent you a Polish translation of your homepage. Have you receive that ??

Hi Fort,

This is a volunteer effort, and we apologize for not having the latest version (for some reason there is a bug, that we are trying to fix so it works well for you). The idea of the donations is to help development and pay for costs so we can focus more time on it. However, I'm not sure whether exactly when the new version will be available. We will do it, it is just a matter of when. We apologize for the bug, trying to do the best to get it working the best.

If you like, we can give you a refund.

I want no refund, I want working software.

If you demand money for your product, it is a sale, not a donation!
You often change the meaning of words and I do not like it.

If you want your product to be successful, then you need planning (including deadlines), resources and time. You need some goals set in time. Otherwise it will never work.

So if you would like to have problems like a broadband internet connection on your private island and you would like to work four hours a day (on your private beach, just between drinks) instead of twenty hours, then MAKE A PLAN and share it with us. Do not make it "realistic", make it ambitious! Allow a miracle to happen!

please tell me that a new working version is beeing released in the next few days. I bought this program and can't enter new spammers ... Over 400 spammers are waiting for my feedback and I don't want to disapoint them.

Ive stopped using it now due to its massive memory leak.

Shame really as its a good product.

I've stopped using it as well for the same reason.
The software I paid for doesn't do what it's advertised to do. Won't save the data in a list, massive memory leaks, no updates, no committment to a timeline for improvements, AND I'm disgusted--sorry.

I've been submitting my spam to knujon.com -- at least that's productive in the fight.

I have stopped using the software too. What worries me, SpamItBack has not appeared on the forum for a long time. I have sent a Polish translation of their homepage and got no response. Did they abandon the project?

There is one thing I really do not understand. They have made a big effort to create a secure environment; they have developed a program excellent in its principle, which virtually has no competition on the market.

They work for a common good and they can earn a great deal of money as well! Isn’t it a perfect combination? Why did they f**k it up like that?

Why dont you share it on torrentspy or the like?

Because such a piece of software should be available from a secure web site only. Otherwise the spammers could very easily produce and distribute fake SpamItBack software doing goodness knows what.

Secondly due to programming errors, SpamItBack is still a piece of crap, that can not be used efficiently anyhow. So why bother distributing it?

On the other hand if Mr. SpamItBack has abandoned the project, maybe he could at least give us the source code? Or we could reverse engineer the executable and then continue the development? It's just an idea...
