Hi Antispammers
If that's the right term, sorry if its not.
I am a new member to spamitback and was just wondering if there are people still actively using spamitback, or has the spam mail stopped so you have stopped?
Presently I run the prog everyday and also wonder are there others like me new to the whole thing, or are you all vets (not in the meaning of an animal doctor type vet).

Well whether a virgin or pro I wish you all the best and hope to hear from you soon.

P.S If anyone would like to join/start a revolution, which is well over due in this nation, please drop me a line.

Good to hear there are still people out there with ideals.
I get about 30 spam a day but only to one account. It is a variety, some however aren't on spam lists but I have added them when I can. See list below:-

I usually run malwarebytes and antivirus software every couple of days, so nothing picked up at the min. I usually do this after email checking just incase.
How can you Trace where they are from? I'm very much a novice when it comes to computers. I know the basics the rest I find on forums when it comes to doing something out of the ordinary.

Hi,
i use a number of ways, two ways are tech so i won't go down that line.
You can type in and search the net to see what the web site is about.
Make notes of other domains using the site, use a ping program to see if the web address is false, trace and look up the web address, take notes of the IP address eg 198.65.119.24 = LivePerson.net. Use a trace program on LivePerson.net, which will give more domains listed such as your list.

What i would do is to read the forum about the slap program, download it and type in the IP number and do one scan and the IP name will appear in the box and slap them. You can slap them many times, i have it set on 1000000 times. I don't get spam from them till i stop the program, i have tested this four times.

If we all use slap and use spamitback at the same time, all day and night, we could be spam free. Lets flood the spammer's IPs

Well after your advice I did indeed read up on how to ping websites and so find an i.p address, downloaded slap set the send to 1000000 and away to go. It looks like I'm gonna be busy what with slapping and spamming back. Still if it prevents mine and others email inbox from getting so much junk, then maybe they will get the msg in the long run.

Hi,
one last thing,
make sure you have back up ---- such as nukenaber or same program, the spammers will try to keep a open conection to your line to change your settings.

The only thing I notice now is the spammers that I used to have, have been replaced by other spammers, greatttttt.

The other thing is do you know of a way to place spam sites on a list in both spamitback and slap?
I have tried adding them but can't see how. Both have a list or drop down box, where a list of about 4 sites are logged (spamitback) but slap's drop down box doesn't seem to be remembering who's IP I've slapped before. Its a bit of a pain copying and pasting them from my own personal log file of sites and IP's.

Any knowledge would be useful, so far your advice has been of great help, Cheers.

Hi,
the only thing to do, is to pick one IP address what is spamming you the most and slap that non stop.
Use your filter on your email to bounce and delete all spam. once you get extra spam. it is from the same spammer, keep note of IP addresses and trace.
It will be great to put all IP's on one list and post it here. If every one had slap and spamitback running, we could pick one each and see if it stops the spammer's.
I have stopped "draculahosting.com" from spamming me, by using slap, spamitback and visting the web site, and posting 20,000 fake email addresses in the contact box of the web site, (copy, paste the 20,000 in the contact box).
You can download a list of fake email addresses from the internet.
Can not see a spammer reporting, "have been spammed 20,000 times".
I use the list on my web page for spam bot etc.

Hope things are still going good in the antispam dept.
I have download and installed nukenabber works great, cheers. Also I have been busy reading up on SMTP systems for emailing anonymously to the spammers. I don't know if you've heard of it but there is a prog called Anonymail pro, this allows you to send as many emails anonymously to as many email addresses as you like; well virtually. It uses its own SMTP and you can assign yourself your own fake email address. Its GREAT!!!!!
I've tried it on myself so you can actually see the results for yourself. I have, like you said been searching for IP's using the ping cmd in msdos and looking for email address for the sites that are spamming me but a few I have found have been difficult to locate. Below are a couple of address that I couldn't find emails for:-
