I bought SpamItBack just yesterday, deinstalled the old (free) version, installed the new software and entered my registration code.
After adding new spammers and playing with the options I am quite disappointed with this version and hope that the bugs will be removed soon.

Here are the bugs I found and some unseful features I would like to request.

1. BUG: Private Spammer List Disappears
After adding spammers to my private list I finished the program and started it again. My modifications were gone !

2. BUG: GPS Scanner
I start the program, click on GPS Scanner and after the "10 seconds message" I receive an error window: --> Error: A103 (13) <--
Then I start the SpamItBack process and click on the map again: --> Error: A102 (13) <--
After accepting the error, the process starts, but shortly it stops again with the message: --> Error: A101 (13) <--
The map always shows me a red box in the Pacific and a red line to the NorthPole, that's all, interrupted by the A101 (13) error message.

3. BUG: Add spammer
If I want to include a new spammer and click the "Add Spammer (Your List)" button, I see a new window with type I-IV settings where type II and III are grey (disabled). Since the full version is running, I would like to use type II and III.

4. Feature Message-Copy:
When I want to paste my clipboard text to the "Message to Send" block with CTRL+Paste, it doesn't work, I always have to use the "right-click" method.

5. Feature Message-Save:
The text in the message block should be saved, possible options: "Default" - "Save" - "Load"

6. BUG: Custom spammer - Read Dossier:
After entering a custom (private) spammer, it wil be added to the end of the spammer overview. If I click on "Read Dossier" , first an error message opens: --> Error: A060 (53) <-- and accepting the bug, the message --> Dossier Number: 1000 <-- appears. Hint: if a custom spammer is beeing added, hide the option "Read Dossier - Click Here"

7. Feature: Editable Custom Spammer List:
In order to maintain my custom spammers, it would be nice to have the following options available:
a) date when this spammer has been added
b) possibility to delete a custom spammer
c) possibility to edit a custom spammer
d) a feedback to a custom spammer, if spamitback was successful or not.
e) a statistic that shows the anti-spam effort against a spammer.

8. Feature: SpamItBack Data Monitor
I guess it would be easier for us to analyze the results, to expand the data monitor for better readability or even save it to a log file. When I entered a few spammers I was not sure, if the SpamItBack process was running against all of them or stopped.

9. BUG: Memory Leakage:
After running SpamItBack overnight, my system is very slowly reacting and my memory is used up.
(AMD 64 Dual Core 3800 overclocked 4800, 1GB Ram)

10. Feature: Personal Credit Removal:
Since this credit stops at 10.000 and has no effect to the program (as far as I know by now) I would suggest to remove this item completely.

11. BUG: Screensaver with Errors:
After a few seconds activating the screensaver I see --> Error: A103 (13) <--. Ok continues the work, until I see this error again. Quite anoying. The world map is nice, but no useful information is displayed (red box in the Pacific, line to NorthPole, no visual changes). Also refer to GPS Scanner Bug

12. BUG: Defend Private Spammers not Working ???
I have the impression that no defend mechanism is running against private spammers in my full version. When I deselect all general spammers and only activate my private ones, it looks like that nothing is really beeing sent ... Needs further investigation, but without saved logs ...

I still think that SpamItBack is great. If more users would use it, one could change the war against spam maybe or at least slow down the spammers and spamvertized sites a lot.

Yes -- we will be updating it soon. (I think with the new build the spammer list was disabled, so we'll reenable that). The other feature suggestions are good (i.e., saving messages, etc) so we'll see what we can do.

I checked it ... I can add new spammer, but nothing is done against them. SpamItBack just jumps to the next "general" spammer. I desperately need this functionality ... I hope you will release a new version soon.
