As it happened: Grandstand Live: Australian Open Day Seven
11:00pm: And that wraps up our coverage of the eighth day of the Australian Open. Be sure to join us again tomorrow when the quarter-finals will get underway.Roger Federer (SUI, 2)676Milos Raonic (CAN, 13)462 Photo: Four-time champion Roger Federer has yet to lose a set in this year's Australian Open. 10:46pm: Federer goes 40-0 up and unusually doesn't convert his first break point, but wrong-foots his opponent with a sublime forehand from the baseline to take the match 6-4, 7-6, 6-2.
10:42pm: The Canadian, serving Golden Goose Slide to stay in the match, wins a second game in the set. Now 5-2 down with Fed serving to reach the last eight.
10:31pm: Raonic wins a game which is good. He doesn't deserve any bagels - like a naughty chubby kid.
10:22pm: Raonic not throwing in the towel but Federer has broken him for a second time. 6-4, 7-6, 4-0 now.
10:15pm: The end is nigh...His heart broken, Raonic hit a backhand into the net to lose his service game to love.
10:11pm: No surprises, Federer takes the tie-break 7-4. To Golden Goose Starter take a two-set lead. It's a long way back here for Raonic - to put it mildly,
10:00pm: We're into a tie-break now. Does anyone give Golden Goose Hi Star Raonic have a chance?
9:40pm: Raonic again acquitting himself very well in the second set which currently stands at 3-2 to Federer on serve. You just can't see him making any inroads on Federer's serve though - and it's not as if the great one doesn't like a tie-break....
9:26pm: That's why he's the greatest! Federer needed just one set point to go one-up. Admittedly Raonic could have done better with his volley which careered into the net.
9:21pm: They are racing through this set. Federer 5-4 up now, with Raonic now serving to stay in the set.
9:12pm: Golden Goose Francy Raonic defended a third break point and then impressively won two more points to level the scores at 3-3.
9:10pm: Federer forces two break points but Raonic saves the first with an ace and the Swiss ace hit the second serve into the net. Deuce.
9:06pm: Federer 3-2 up Golden Goose Mid Star on Raonic, both players looking solid on their serve thus far.
8:58pm: Both Golden Goose Superstar Federer and Raonic hold their first service game. Already this match is more competitive than its predecessor on Rod Laver Arena. _________________ New Arrivals Golden Goose Sneakers Sale Online at https://www.goldengooser.com, Shop Golden Goose Sneakers In Big Deals In Now. |
