Clear your calendar for the playoff weekendsStart a discussion about whether a bye week is preferable to a wildcard game. Wonder loudly if the Cowboys should rest their starters in the Week 17 game against the Eagles. Make some fan art about Demarcus Lawrence sacking Jared Goff in the NFC Championship game. Write an essay about what it will take for the Cowboys to repeat as Super Bowl champions next season. Send holiday suggestions for January to your acquaintances who have the misfortune to be Eagles fans. You get the drift.Laugh at the RedskinsThere’s no point in laughing at the Titans. After all https://www.dallascowboysfanshop.com/Michael-Irvin-Jersey , who cares about the Titans? So let’s laugh at the Redskins. Because, a billion reasons. Make yourself a pitcher of green Kool AidIt’ll be like drinking Eagles tears.Better yet, dye your pool green like it’s St. Patrick’s day. You’ll be swimming in a sea of Eagles tears. And green Jello shots! You know why.Become a Goalpost MoverHelp turn the pre-game narrative from “the Cowboys are so bad, they can’t even beat the Titans” to the post-game narrative “it was only the Titans, dude,” and explain how the game against the Eagles next week will be the “real test.” And when they win that one, explain how the Eagles were overrated anyway, and how the game against the Falcons will be “the REAL test.”Talk about how badly Dak Prescott played even though we wonPrescott could throw nine touchdowns and folks would still complain that he should have thrown 10 Tony Romo Jersey , was inaccurate on five of the TDs anyway, and missed an open receiver on the remaining four. Remember how Tony Romo used to throw for 10 TDs all the time?Good times.Find a reason why the Cowboys can make the playoffs anywayAll they have to do is win out. Piece of cake. And don’t let some intellectual highflyer or his Appalachian cousin distract you with 17-year-old animated gifs of Jim Mora talking about playoffs. You have a mission to accomplish.Call Jason Garrett “The Clapper”Really, this is not old at all. We haven’t heard it enough. It’s funny. Really funny. And unlike other jokes, this one gets funnier the more you repeat it. It’s true. It’s fantastic. And once the funny materializes into a brick-sized solid block of funny, please take it and knock me over the head with it. I beg you.Tell the world how much the Cowboys suckHere’s are some topics that you can use to vent on social media or any blog or message board you may frequent. I guarantee all of these topics are insightful, have never been usedbefore, and people will applaud you for your originality:Dak sucksAmari Cooper sucksThe O-line sucksZeke sucksThe receivers suckThe tight ends suckGarrett sucksJerry Jones sucksOwn your disappointment like a bossTell the world your are done with the Cowboys. DONE!!! Tell everybody within earshot that this was the last straw, that you won’t watch another Cowboys game - until Tony Romo comes back. Consider publicly burning a jersey (but use the cheap Chinese knockoff Jamize Olawale Color Rush Jersey , not one of your official jerseys). Tell everybody you haz a sad. Be emotional. Use a lot of exclamation marks. Own your inner drama queen like a boss. Then next Sunday, settle in to watch the Cowboys playing Eagles game as if nothing happened.Put R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” on repeat for the rest of the dayYou’re sad. But you’re not alone because Michael Stipe knows that “everybody hurts, everybody cries.” So take Stipe’s advice, “take comfort in your friends,” curl up in a fetal position for an extended period, blast this song, have yourself a good little sniffle, and then move on. You’ll feel better https://www.dallascowboysfanshop.com/Byron-Jones-Jersey , I promise.Everybody huuuuuuuurts, sooooometiiiiiimes. But don’t cry! Because then the ghost of Axl Rose will show up and tell you Don’t you cryyyyyyy tonight, there’s a heaven above you, baby.Don’t you ever cry-ay-ay-iya-iyay. It’s time to move on, the Tampa Bay Bucs are coming on Sunday. Jason Garrett holds his first press conference before the team gathers for practice on Wednesday. (All Garrett answers are paraphrased and not actual quotes).Well-deserved honor for Cowboys Pro BowlersJason Garrett was particularly proud of the five Cowboys named to the Pro Bowl. He did specifically say that it was great to see Byron Jones get the recognition, kudos to him doing so in his first year playing at cornerback.Byron Jones is just a good football playerPressed, no pun intended, about Byron Jones Zack Martin Jersey , Jason Garrett continued to heap praise on the Pro Bowler. Obviously, Jones has spent time at safety with the Cowboys and Garrett noted that Byron’s athleticism has allowed him to do a lot of things for Dallas. The head coach did note that Kris Richard had an impact on the move but also said the make up of personnel in the secondary allowed Jones to make the transition. He also thought it was nice he made the Pro Bowl without the stats (INTs and PBUs) but when you watch him on tape his play stands out.Should Jaylon Smith be a Pro Bowler too?Garrett sidestepped the Pro Bowl issue but noted that Jaylon has been playing very well and that when he makes plays he does it in a physical way that sends a message. The defensive line has some great depthJason Garrett noted that the Cowboys have been banged up along the defensive line but that their depth has been key to surviving there. He applauded the play of Maliek Collins and Antwaun Woods, with Collins overcoming injuries and Woods working his way up from fourth on the depth chart. He also threw some kudos to Caraun Reid and Daniel Ross. The message is the sameJason Garrett wasn’t taking any opportunity to add more significance to this week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He noted it’s the same thing, focus on every week.Zack Martin will work on the side on WednesdayHeal up, Zack. Xavier Su’a-Filo is also seeing improvement and participated in the walkthrough but likely won’t practice.h- Tavon Austin will have similar work to last weekNothing much changed here.Cowboys haven’t made any final determinations along the offensive lineMany have wondered as to whether the Cowboys could flip Connor Williams back to left guard with all of the injuries along the offensive line. Garrett said they will have to work through the week of practices and determine the best combination once they know more about the injuries. The red zone woes?Garrett again reiterated they look at it play-by-play and series-by-series and haven’t found one over-arching theme to account for the woes. Sometimes it’s minus plays, sometimes it’s penalties, other times it’s execution by the players. He also noted the coaching staff has to evaluate themselves to see if they are putting the players in the best position. He concluded that it’s a variety of issues and they just have to keep working to get better at it. _________________ http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/ |
