Hi there ...

I just came across this website (www.spamitback.com) just recently ... And I was just wondering if this was "[b]Legal[/b]".? - Is this like US doing a [b][color=red]DDoS [/color]Attack[/b] on the [color=red]spammers [/color]themselves.?? - I just wanna know the legal rammifications of doing this.!!

I was using a program everyone knew as the "[color=blue]Blue Frog[/color]".!!
From their website ( www.bluesecurity.com ) - Site no longer exists.!!

But they used what looks like a similar tactic to "[u]Spam-It-Back[/u]".??
I'm about to look & maybe try your product, but don't wanna get into trouble.??

I was about to use or try this other product, "SpamArrest" @ www.spamarrest.com
Until I saw your " Spam It Back " ad or link from a website called: http://www.okopipi.org/
Their also on this [b][color=red]FIGHT [/color][/b]against [color=red]Spammers [/color]too, and that's how I got to see SpamItBack's mention.!!

Anyway ... Does this SpamItBack really work.? - AND, Is this all Legal.??
Any replies would be greatly appreciated.!! - Cheer's.!!

Hey, Lethal_1- Welcome aboard. I don tknow whats legal or not anymore. i DO know that most spam IS ILLEGAL!! THats good enough for me to try anything i can to defeat them.
I am a newbie here too. I also was referred here by that post on OKOPIPPI. I am very excited to see that one come out! I was also on Blue Frog and LOVED IT. especially the last few new features, they really must have hurt the spammers badly with those upgrades.
I hated the fact that they were left twisting in the wind after the attacks. noone in security wuld even talk about helping them out. its a damn shame to see criminals win!! I am down for doing anything in my power to stop them. legal schmegal!! When the spammers play by the rules, so will I.
I hope you will get as many people signed up to help here and Black Frog.

As good as the intentions of " Okopipi " is ... I don't see anything " Real Soon ' ...

I've been watching Okopipi, and there is no REAL news on their progress.??
So ... I have to do something in the meantime.!!

I tried " Spam-It-Back " ... And it's not quite what I'm after, BlueFrog was " The Bee's Knee's ".!!

So until something serious comes out, I think I'll stick with "SpamArrest" for now until then.!!

I was absolutely shocked when I went to send my junk mails in and got strange messages, then my email got spammed bad. i miss the Frog a lot. It really must have pissed them spam monkeys off bad.

I am of the same mind that this one will not be out in the near future. I ge the idea that some are waaaay ovethinking things.
Oh well. I'll be here when it launchs. i hope i'll see you here too.

Addressing legality...

Obviously if someone invites you to visit their website (i.e., through an e-mail), you would be 'allowed' to visit there website. This software has several options that allow you to basically simulate that. And, if you so desire, include a message to the effect that you do not like being spammed.

As with any software though, if you do have any questions about whether something is legal, you should check the rules/regulations with your ISP, and/or the area you live in.

Dr Rip: I was in the same boat as you. Left high and dry when BlueFrog suddenly lept away... only to be Joe-Jobbed later by all the spam bastards I came over here from Okopipi and although they've got good intentions, we need results now. I have revenge coarsing through my veins!
I've had the software running almost 12 hours straight now... loaded up with dozens of spammers URL's I received in my morning mail.

Welcome aboard. MrEGuy, I am also fuming at the spamming community. I am willing to use every too at my diposable. legal or not. At this point, they have broken the rules and MUST be made to pay. The Federal govt is a laughing stock and any "solutions" they get involved with will undoubtedly fill my inbox with 100x the current spam and make MY emails illegal.
We can wait no longer for any more frogs. I'll gladly use it when they finally get it together but i need to do something now.

If there are any features you think we should incorporate, let us know.

We actually did think of a type of secure P2P type network a couple years ago, and plan on implementing that when we get a bit more time and/or resources. (If you have programming skills and want to volunteer, we can let you know what we need).
