Hi pharmi ...
maybe Spamitback is now a dead piece of software ... only the programmers can tell the answer but I regard this like Blue Frog ... they surrendered - sure - but until then I thought, hey it's ok, they handle the problem (spam) and 3-4 spams per week are somehow ok.
But since they gave up, the amount of spam mails increased a lot.
Now I'm not just sit here and wait that someone else does something ... I'm getting now more involved than ever. Okopipi, Knujon, Spamcop, Castelcops and others are now on my daily list. I support those programs/projects and report my spam to 'em ... Even at work I'm getting in touch with our security and anti-spam team and share my knowledge, give hints etc ... If I can convince them not just to block and delete that shit and report it, there might be more pressure for the ISPs so they ban spammvertized sites more quickly and maybe even charge a fine .... who knows ...
It's a matter of quantity ... the amount of daily spam exceeded the limit, now the pressure increases. Remember that quite a few countries are talking about laws that prohibit spam etc. thy're slow, but on the way ... spammers might be quite save at the moment (apart from some arrests, killings etc.) but as Knujon says ... time is running out for spammers ...
The battle has just begun ...
